Global Account Lead

As the Regional Account Lead on the Global Accounts Team, the ideal candidate possesses a leadership approach placing internal and external stakeholders at the center of the role. This individual will be responsible for engaging with key client decision makers, to manage, assess and positively influence country-level and regional level client leadership as well as internal country and region General Managers of ByteDance.


The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about cross-functional account management, high level strategic thinking and on the ground influence and execution. This role requires the ability to work across different borders, cultures and time zones. They must be fluent in business acumen and analytical rigor to identify and prioritize opportunity areas in our business and mapping for net-new revenue streams and sources. The successful candidate is intellectually curious, creative, self-resilient and comfortable operating in ambiguity with strategic thinking.


Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and create growth strategies for your respective Global Account to drive revenue growth in region
  • Be the enabler of Global Consistency by assisting in the build of brand standards and ensuring they are enabled across our network and are executed consistently
  • Develop and provide regional and market analyses, updates and client needs to Global Account Lead, Regional General Managers and Local internal Sales.
  • Lead and land Regional Campaigns as there is a high volume of multi-market (Pan-European, Pan-Asian, LATAM) regional deals and campaign management required
  • Serve as a cross-functional lead and ambassador/advocate for internal Product, Sales Ops, Content, Research, PR, Safety, Security, and other functions of the ByteDance business
  • Communicate global account strategies with internal stakeholders (regional GMs & local sales leads) while driving local and regional consideration and adoption
  • Build and establish processes and best practices for knowledge sharing across countries, regions, clients to build and share client and campaign learnings and fuse the ByteDance network.
  • Identify areas of common concern, redundancies in operation, and inefficiencies in order develop standards and polices to improve workflow.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business and technical requirements and obligations in digital advertising.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You have 7+ years of experience in client side marketing, agency, have worked on a global business for a platform/publisher, or have a media sales and/or consulting background with strengths in pitching and negotiating
  • You are strategic with strong analytical skills; experienced using quantitative and qualitative data, and can storytell to bring action to analytics
  • You are driven as well as entrepreneurial with a strong sense of personal organization
  • You understand and thrive in creative and content environments requiring right-brain creative thinking
  • Extensive account management expertise and experience managing complex and matrixed clients in digital advertising environment
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills that will be showcased while working with internal and external leadership
  • Truly global experience operating at global networks in previous roles and deep understanding of nuances by countries and cultures
  • Detail oriented that can coordinate across multiple teams/countries
  • Strong sense of problem solving and proactive work ethic


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant project management experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally
  • Experience managing global projects and teams across multiple markets and cultures
