Global Account Manager

The Global Account Manager plans, directs, and controls the sales activities of the organization’s global sales programs to increase revenue from specified Fortune 500 accounts within a broad geographic area. Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization’s products and services to maximize profitability and market share. 


Responsibilities:

  • Controls and contributes to the sales activities of the organization’s global sales programs to increase revenue from specified Fortune 500 accounts within a broad geographic area.
  • Develops strategic selling initiatives for the organization’s products and services to maximize profitability and increase market share in designated geographic areas. 
  • Negotiates global accounts and contracts and makes recommendations to the organization’s sales management to identify target business opportunities. 
  • Coordinates, recommends and implements the organization’s global sales strategies, including growth within existing/organic portfolio as well as identifying and closing new opportunities.
  • Follows and supports the organization’s marketing and communications strategies. 
  • Attends, facilitates and represents the organization at trade shows, seminars, and other sales events.
  • Maintains the organization’s global account files, tasks, activities, and proposals utilizing SalesForce


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in a sales function.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of outside sales processes.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in teams.


Portfolio Scope

Global Account Manager(GAM) will be responsible for a portfolio of ~ 20 accounts, with ABG Revenue of ~$60m. This role will report to the VP, of Global Accounts. GAM will be covering a territory in and around, but not limited to, North Texas,  Dallas, Arkansas, Oklahoma areas


This position is an individual contributor and does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.


Travel Requirements

Moderate Travel

  • 15 - 20% travel will be required
