Global Account Lead

We are looking for a consultative sales leader to join our newly formed Global Accounts Team. The team will play a critical role in establishing and leading strategic partnerships between TikTok and the world's largest advertisers. This team is consultative in nature and will lead the long-term growth of each global account. The Global Account Lead will own and nurture C-level and senior business brand-side relationships and partner with TikTok's regional and local market General Managers to drive platform growth.


Our Global Account Lead will act as the strategic ambassador responsible for building TikTok's reputation and revenue for a top global brand. The Global Account Lead will anticipate the business needs of the largest advertisers, deliver measurable solutions, be proactive and anticipate business needs and opportunity areas, and shape new marketing approaches with their brand clients. They will steward industry level thought leadership in marketing and media, work cross-functionally and collaboratively with the Consumer, Content, Product and Revenue business units to drive organizational KPIs and be passionate about inspiring creativity and joy among our marketing partners around the world.


The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about cross-functional account management, proficient in high level strategic thinking and local market enablement. This role requires the ability to work across different time zones and cultures and bring a philosophy of client-centricity to the role both internally and externally. The successful candidate is a builder, intellectually curious, creative, entrepreneurial, resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, strong in strategic thinking and has deep experience leading through influence.



Key responsibilities

1. Build and shape the vision, global strategy, approach, coordination, engagement planning and success metrics for a global account.

2. Generate incremental revenue and help increase existing direct revenue from our top global accounts

3. Build a 'ground up' comprehensive business plans, global in nature and local in execution, that will drive top line revenue growth

4. Develop and maintain C-level relationships to expand our presence, and educate and inform on the power of TikTok's platform

5. Work with regional sales leadership to establish/set strategic objectives and goals that maximize business impact

6. Regularly consult with local/regional sales leadership to enhance brand and product level positioning and engagement in their markets

7. Sustain close communication and alignment with clients and local sales counterparts to maximize client strategies and engender trust and collaboration

8. Communicate global account strategies with internal stakeholders (regional GMs & local sales leads) while driving local and regional consideration

9. Partner with the internal Global Agency team and their key decision makers in order to drive collaboration and synergistic advancement at the global account and broader agency level.

10. Work collaboratively with the partner Global Agency Team to help drive 360 planning

11. Represent TikTok at key client and industry events, as a delegate and or speaker


Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

1. BA or BS degree

2. 10+ years of relevant global account management experience in client side marketing, agency, have run a global business for a platform/publisher, or have a media sales and/or consulting background with strengths in pitching and negotiating

3. Experience working cross-functionally, both internally and externally

4. Experience managing global marketing agendas across multiple markets and cultures

5. Extensive strategy development and consultative skills among sophisticated brand marketers

6. Truly global experience operating at global networks or with global brands in previous roles and have deep understanding of cultural nuances by countries, cultures, and languages

7. Strategic with strong analytical skills; experienced using quantitative and qualitative data, and can storytell to bring action to analytics

8. Driven as well as entrepreneurial with a strong sense of personal organization and project management abilities

9. Creative thinker, problem solver, and passionate about going beyond benchmarks

10. Thrive in creative and content environments requiring right-brain creative thinking

11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will be showcased while working with internal and external leadership
