ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


We are looking for a GM, East Coast, to own go-to-market for all PAX products in the fastest growing cannabis market in the country. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a new business line in cannabis consumables, manage go-to-market (GTM) activities with our wholesale and retail partners for all PAX products (including devices), and act as the key business owner of the P&L across the market. In this role, you will help build PAX’s playbook for consumables and will have the opportunity to roll out that playbook in similar states or regions over time. Initially, your job will involve strategic planning, along with others on the PAX team, to help design our go-to-market for our new lines. Quickly the job will transition to executional elements including negotiating contracts, managing external partners, guiding our in-market sales team, and other activities to ensure all our industry-leading products are effectively produced, distributed, merchandised, marketed, and sold in the state with the support of other relevant PAX functions.


  • Refining the consumables launch strategy & operating plan for our East Coast markets
  • Providing input into new product strategy and customer segmentation
  • Helping define top line and market share goals for our new products
  • Optimizing our GTM plan to properly target and equip the right retail partners at launch
  • Launching our new business line in the market
  • Working cross-functionally within PAX to leverage internal resources and align various stakeholders
  • Identifying key external partners, suppliers, and prospective customers and forging relationships
  • Negotiating and signing agreements
  • Coordinating vital operational, legal, marketing, FP&A, and other foundational components
  • Managing go-to-market for all PAX products in East Coast markets
  • Managing third party partners in our consumables supply chain
  • Leading our in-market sales team and working with our marketing function to accurately execute field marketing campaigns
  • Feeding inputs related to new product development back to our product team


QUALIFICATIONS: 


  • 4+ years of proven experience in an operational capacity, with several years of experience at a startup or a fast growing company
  • Experience owning a P&L or, at a minimum, understanding a business line holistically
  • Experience standing up new businesses e.g.
  • Experience in business diligence, business plan creation, and business analysis
  • Experience managing critical external relationships and negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and other key partners
  • Capabilities:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, complex, and dynamic environment and get buy-in from various stakeholders
  • Adaptable individual contributor with an ability to wear multiple hats and context switch constantly
  • High integrity team player with an ability to exhibit excellent judgment and composure in high-pressure situations
