Freelance Media Coordinator

New York, NY

The Media Coordinator reports directly to the Associate Creative Director of Brand Image, and will work with the creative team in New York City. The job scope will include, but is not limited to: photographic file management, server organization, upkeep, and archival, drive management and backup, and the contact person for all static asset related activity within our department. This person is expected to acquire deep familiarity with our brand content and guidelines, our library of assets, and the organization of our servers/DAMs. The Asset Manager will ensure all files and organization is kept to the exceptional Peloton brand standard.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • File management, including: organization, processing, conversions, and archive
  • Peloton server and DAM upkeep
  • Ensure our working files and deliverables are properly organized and archived
  • Strong capacity to learn and create efficiencies within our systems
  • Work with our post-producer to create job folders and pull assets for incoming jobs
  • Responsible for creating deliverables when requested
  • Contact person for our brand image department 
  • Responsible for all asset requests within Peloton (locating, processing, exporting files, etc.)
  • Will be in direct contact with the digitechs on-set throughout shoot days, ensuring our retouching team receives all files according to spec (naming conventions, file types, etc.)
  • Receiving all hard drives after shoot, ensuring all files are delivered on-spec, and backing up files at HQ
  • If a drive is received not to spec, the asset manager is responsible for organizing, re-naming, processing, etc.
  • Familiarity with our brand standards
  • Over time, this person is expected to acquire a deep understanding of Peloton’s brand expression, content and guidelines

 

 KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum 3 Years of photography post-production experience. Baseline understanding of the post-process, photographic asset organization tools and Photoshop retouching and file conversion. A degree in photography is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skill-set with the ability to multi-task.
  • Self-reliant and motivated, the ability to adapt, absorb and retain information quickly. This is a fast-paced environment, with many active jobs happening simultaneously.
  • Exceptional and timely communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong understanding of file types, color space, and image resolution is a requirement.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge), DAM management, and Capture One is a requirement.
  • Understanding of Dropbox, Bynder, GSuite, and Slack is a plus!

 

JOB DETAILS

Strong preference for NYC area candidates as this role requires occasional physical presence in our NYC Headquarters.


This role is initially part-time, 3-4 days per week
