Forklift Operator

This role will provide material support in the sheet metal department by utilizing a forklift and a crane to move steel around.

Shift: 1st (6:45am-3:15pm) overtime as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing bundles of steel in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates steel by using micrometers and steel guides, verifying gauge and steel type. 
• Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
• Handling returns by completing a safe assessment and other required communication.
• Receives all documentation from steel deliveries.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; and notifying maintenance with any issues.
• Lift 35 pounds consistently and stand for extended periods of time.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ years of materials or inventory experience 
• 1+ years of forklift operator experience
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Effective communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
