NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Create innovative designs for Nike Footwear products. Collaborate with members in Design, Development, and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines are required. Follow the execution of all product details including construction detail, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, and trim. Develop a deep understanding of the Football culture & “all-day footballer” consumers and their culture by learning about competitive products, consumer retail habits and market trends; and translate into all product designs. Travel to factories domestically and internationally to ensure the execution and manufacturability of the concepts. Work with factory partners to create high quality products to serve athletes. Work with Inline Innovation Team to bring Innovation to Inline models and to market. Work within cross-functional Category team to create a line from concept to reality and produce footwear product designs that advance Nike's design image, product performance and appeal to targeted consumers. Present visual concept solutions to product briefs; collaborate with Design, Development and Product Management groups to focus product designs for market success; finalize technical packages. Communicate and present design concepts to various internal, external audiences and cross-functional teams. Produce presentation materials that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences. Provide design support for the design team as needed outside of assigned product load. Work on Injection tooling with Engineering to bring concept to production.


Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design or related field or equivalent or 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Education or experience must include the following: 3D modeling and generative design programs such as Rhinoceros 3D, Alias Autodesk, and Grasshopper; Designing and creating Colors and Graphics stories for products; Sketching and Rendering tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator; Product design and management; 3D rendering software including Keyshot; and Pattern making.
