The Fixed Video Deployment Team delivers video solutions to Public Safety and Enterprise customers across North America. We are committed to providing solutions that will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Vigilant LPR and Avigilon Video Systems.


In this role, the PM will work within dedicated project teams on large and strategic video deployments overseeing all aspects of assigned deployments within the projects. The successful candidate will work directly with internal/external stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, schedule, and budget.


Must be able to use project management tools to handle complex or time sensitive issues to develop resolutions. Candidates will be able to work under pressure and be able to remain professional in intense or stressful situations.  


Essential Job Duties

  • Efficiently manage projects or site installations at varied stages.
  • Must have System Integration experience or extensive knowledge in the industry standards for low voltage installations and video solution deployments.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the project team, senior management, and stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage and communicate changes in project scope/schedule/cost, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Attend contractor meetings representing the security interests of our client and the defined scope of work.
  • Be able to clarify the specific requirements of each project.
  • Track subcontractor and project or site installations performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term project tasks and milestones.
  • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates scheduling with other trades or direct subcontractors.
  • Maintains current job plans and specifications.
  • Proactively works with the project team to ensure timely project procurement, billing, and project cost vs. revenue tracking.
  • Maintains all records and required items using the project defined Project Management Information System.
  • Presents a professional image of Motorola Solutions when speaking to customers.
  • Use and continually develop professional and leadership skills.
  • Be able to travel to customer locations, subcontractor offices, project offices or warehouses for meetings, site walks, vendor meetings, or other assigned tasks by project lead.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely without major disruption and distraction. Will be required to join video meetings and conference calls with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and direct the work activities of the project team across organizational boundaries
  • Drives strategic relationships between internal and external teams
  • Resolves issues between internal and external groups
  • Responsible for the profit level for all projects under their control
  • Establishing and maintaining a project budget and schedule
  • Establishing and maintaining a communication plan with project teams and customers
  • Establishing and executing a risk assessment and mitigation plans
  • Providing system integration quotations and statements of work
  • Responsible for creating, distributing, and presenting various project status reports and results Works with the Project Management Office to identify and implement process improvement and best practices across the Project Management discipline
  • Participate in pre-contract evaluation of contract terms and scope in order to evaluate and mitigate potential risks/gaps


Requirements

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in an IT or security installation/integrator environment
  • Pass background check
  • Motorola Video Security product knowledge (Avigilon, Pelco, AVA) and Experience Strongly Preferred
  • Experience with process improvement and inventory control
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills

This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US, however, candidates are required to be located near a major airport. Position may travel 50% - 75% of time within the US.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus experience in project or program management.
  • OR 5+ years of project management or similar experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
