Financial Systems Analyst

Webster, MA

Provide systems expertise and guidance to Financial Services personnel in support of the department’s operations and projects. Assist department personnel with the application of software tools for the purpose of improving efficiency while maintaining a strong control environment. Design, develop, implement, maintain, and administer assigned systems. Knowledge of Guidewire, Tronweb, V12 and AS400 preferred. Query skills and project experience including requirement gathering and testing strongly preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4-6 years.
  • Knowledge:  Understanding and knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform or lead work requiring extensive analytical business skills.

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient with Excel and SAP, and strong aptitude with database query tools and other business intelligence tools. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. Proven ability to create efficiencies by leveraging technology and streamlining financial processes. Understanding of the business and technical elements of the P/C insurance industry. Working knowledge of financial accounting and reporting concepts, principles, and terms (specific to P/C insurance industry on statutory and IFRS bases) sufficient to participate in IT projects Exceptional interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.
