Financial Modeling & Analysis Manager

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $130,200-$159,200 annually. The full Pay Range is $101,100-$188,300 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

The Financial Modeling & Analysis Manager is responsible for the development and improvement of financial models, business cases, and objective analysis at the division and business line level. This position serves as a key role in support of financial analysis within the Finance Business Partner function, enabling the business to drive informed decisions using scalable models, methodologies, and developed frameworks. This role will elevate financial insights of new/modified products, offerings, initiatives, and campaigns to measure revenue, profitability, returns, and other financial implications across divisions and functions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the development and improvement of financial models, business cases, and objective analysis at the division and business line level.
  • Create analysis frameworks and methodologies to leverage across the Finance Business Partner domain.
  • Work across business and finance stakeholders to understand the different products, campaigns, offerings, initiatives, and business environment to inform and prioritize analytics.
  • Develop executive level presentations/communication to influence strategy and decision making through objective analysis.
  • Establish relational driver-based insights to inform forecast methodologies and measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Document processes, data relationships, and selected methodology for purposes of reviewing results, knowledge sharing, and streamlined future analysis preparation.
  • Extract and integrate complex data from multiple systems to provide insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Utilize BECU systems to conduct complex querying, modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis and other operational analysis.
  • Prepare reports as requested by the Board or management.
  • Provide recommendations and insights for financial analysis to the Credit Union's business lines.
  • Participates in a shared knowledge work environment, coaching others and building the team’s overall skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Quantitative concentration preferred (finance, economics, statistics, business administration). Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum seven years of financial modeling responsibilities required in a financial institution preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of profitability methodologies and financial analyses / modeling required.
  • Experience leading or playing a key role in data and financial modeling and analysis required.
  • Broad knowledge of banking business lines, products, processes, and support functions preferred.
  • Proven experience with report creation, data analysis/visualization and business case development preferred.
  • Excellent PC (Microsoft Office, Access, database mgmt., Excel, Word) SharePoint and Business Intelligence reporting skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly required.
  • Experience utilizing SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Cost and Profitability Management, and SAS Enterprise Guide preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or Alteryx preferred.
  • Experience with OneStream preferred.
  • Understanding of data structures and the ability to integrate data from different systems / sources preferred.
  • Ability to understand/challenge strategies based upon financial and market metrics required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate complex financial issues required.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement multiple projects required.
