About the job

The Ads Finance team partners with Ads Leadership across Product, Engineering, and Sales (GBO) to drive ads decisions with financial stewardship. We balance the roles of trusted advisor and guardian to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and optimize investment. As a Finance Analyst, you’ll focus on partnering with Ads Privacy and Safety (APaS) whose mission is to drive trust in the open Internet through safe and sustainable business growth. Privacy on the Internet is a constant topic for the news media as well as individual users. As user expectations evolve, Google seeks to ensure Ads and user functionality exceed these expectations. In this role, you will be collaborating with partners in Product and Engineering, Policy, and Legal. Beyond financial analysis, this role will give you a deeper understanding of the privacy landscape and what impacts it will have over the next decade on everyday internet users.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data for a comprehensive product-level financial model of impact of privacy-related product changes.
  • Provide product and finance leadership with clear insights and recommendations based on analysis and modeling of potential ad privacy product changes.
  • Mentor teammates in areas of subject matter expertise such as online ad ecosystem, privacy initiatives and regulations, ad measurement, and/or web browser functionality.
