This position works as part of the Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting team within the Respiratory Health business unit at Baxter. The position will help perform financial reporting, analysis and metric tracking that help support the business’ objectives and decision-making. 


The position will be introduced to complex Microsoft Excel modeling and forecasting and be exposed to ever-changing accounting standards. This position will work alongside all levels of employees, including all levels of management, and will report directly to the Finance Manager.


Qualified candidates will be motivated, self-driven performers who are eager to implement their analytical skills, explore financial metrics and modeling tools, and apply that to forecasting and planning processes. 


The candidate needs to be comfortable with getting immersed in software technologies such as Oracle EPM, SAP, JDE, Cognos, and Microsoft Power BI. Preferred candidates will either have experience with these systems already or be able to demonstrate the ability to learn and use these tools effectively.


What You'll be doing: 

  • Month-end financial and metric reporting to management and commercial business leaders focusing on revenue, pricing, mix, gross margin and operating margin
  • Month-end tie out process across Accounting and internal systems
  • Monthly operating expense reporting, forecasting and analysis
  • Prepare and compile annual plan and quarterly latest estimate processes
  • Explore ways to improving planning processes
  • Metrics preparation and presentation
  • Quantification of risks and opportunities
  • Finance participation in projects, as they arise, such as system implementation and capital funding initiatives
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as identified and requested across the organization


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of Accounting / Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting experience
  • Manufacturing / Medical Device industry experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service focus with initiative and creativity in problem solving
  • Ability to work within a team and a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to effectively manage time to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time
  • Oracle EPM, Power BI, JDE and Cognos experience is a plus

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $64,000 to $88,000 annually.


The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
