Financial Analyst

Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.


AT&T has an opening for a Financial Analyst to support the National Security Sector. This role will be responsible for helping the program meet contractual financial requirements and developing high quality monthly deliverables.


The job duties of the Financial Analyst are as follows:                                          

  • Stratify data from core business applications and service business leads to develop complex financial models, build PowerPoint briefings, and make recommendations to senior executives (client facing and internal) on the financial performance of a Cost-Plus Award Fee (CPAF) program.
  • Develop a visualization dashboard that provides performance metrics reporting and trending analysis of multiple functional business areas.
  • Prepare contract financial status deliverables with attention to detail that are due monthly to the client.
  • Audit time and expense charges for compliance with government regulations and corporate policy.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by documenting standard processes and collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and internal program control.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.
  • Informs Program Manager and organization leadership on financial trends and reporting program performance to include burn rate analysis, labor and other direct cost (ODC) forecasting, and estimates at completion; recommends corrective actions to achieve financial plans.
  • Collaborate with corporate HQ group to prepare revenue forecasting and analysis.
  • Provides leadership and direction to less experienced financial analysts.
  • Key financial business advisor to senior leadership and organization managers; significant contributor in the development of operating plans and business-related processes and implementation of near-term and long-range strategies.
  • Compares and analyzes financial results with plans and forecasts; identifies trends, assess and communicates reliable metrics that management can use to make informed business decisions. Uses data-driven insights to recommend corrective actions to achieve labor and cost plans.


Required Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)


Required Qualifications: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in a quantitative field such as finance, accounting, or economics. Experienced user of Microsoft suite of products (especially advanced level Excel) is a must for this position. Must also have experience working in a team environment within a professional office setting. Must be willing to obtain CI Polygraph.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with Costpoint, SAP or other ERP Systems.
  • External client facing, consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of governmental and government contractor budgeting systems and practices.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Prior experience as a Financial or Program Control Analyst or equivalent.
