This is a highly visible and exciting opportunity, rich in analysis and playing a critical role in supporting strategic decision making. This role will report to the Publicity Finance Lead and will involve supporting the management of spend across Apple TV+ initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, the tracking of actuals, forecasting, and management reporting. As this is a startup initiative within Apple inc. the right person for this role will be hands on as well as strategic, able to manage the day-to-day responsibilities with an eye towards company expansion.


Key Qualifications

  • Five+ years of public and/or private accounting experience required
  • Entertainment experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau and advanced knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Strong analytical background
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and able to translate big-picture analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, grasp new concepts, and problem solve
  • Ability to work comfortably with high level of ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills


Description

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly forecasts, quarterly close, and annual long-range plan
  • Work with Finance Lead to update budgets, track commitments and spend, and deliver management reporting to facilitate the decision-making process
  • Support accrual processes across Publicity teams, ensuring adherence to business compliance with policies and procedures as required by Sarbanes Oxley
  • Assist in the preparation of quarter end journal entry deliverables
  • Collaborate with business partners to address questions surrounding Publicity expenses; ensure appropriate use of corporate cards, vendors, and by title reporting
  • Assist in reconciliation processes across financial reporting systems
  • Work closely with Finance Lead to document and streamline processes, develop meaningful tools, and maintain data integrity within systems
  • Support the testing, development, and implementation of IT infrastructure projects
  • Assist in production of ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed


Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA/CPA preferred
