Financial Analyst

As a member of PayPal’s Technology Platform and Experience finance team based in San Jose, this role will work closely with TPX Engineering, Product, and Biz Ops leaders and their teams to develop a full understanding of organization’s strategic priorities and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver month end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning
  • Partner with Business leaders to deliver monthly forecasting processes and provide analytical fire power to planning process
  • Provide assessment of risks and opportunities to business leaders to drive sound financial decisions and positive impact to the business
  • Support business case modeling, deep dive analysis and look back on strategic initiatives


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a high growth technology company, fin tech preferred
  • Familiarity with CAPEX, Hardware and Software Maintenance, Cloud and Data Center management preferred
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Financial Modeling and Planning, including trend and variance analysis
  • Experience in MS Excel & Powerpoint expertise and working experience with SAP/Oracle systems. 
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager
