Finance Manager

Camden, NJ

The role will be responsible for leading Operational Excellence and SC Strategy Financial Planning and Reporting. This role leads the department; inclusive of 3 direct reports and is responsible for their development.


This role will have significant interaction with the senior finance leadership team including the VP Supply Chain Finance, and other senior leaders across the enterprise.  This role reports into the Senior Finance Manager - Operational Excellence & Supply Chain Strategy. 


Principal Accountabilities

  • Validate project savings (enablers, network ops, zero loss, etc.), both business case development (pre-project) and actuals tracking vs. forecast (post-project)
  • Inputs to enablers ideation; “size of prize” support (would be great to have someone with the ambition to find opportunities in addition to reporting)
  • Define and govern enablers vs. ESP categories, valuation process, etc.
  • Assist in development of operational excellence playbook with business partner
  • Monthly variance reporting – to prior proj, forecast, and PY
  • Drive SC performance by improving financial visibility and identifying key areas of opportunities to improve performance across the network.
  • Provide actionable insights to the business partners and Supply chain Leadership team in the area of operational excellence across enterprise network
  • Role also provides strategic financial thought leadership on large projects across enterprise supply chain. Utilize information across the SC Finance COE to analyze and recommend strategic actions necessary to drive impact.
  • Advance dashboards and data visualization reporting for the SC finance team
  • Ad Hoc/Special Projects as needed


Job Complexity and Scope

  • Strong understanding of overall business processes and solid understanding of supply chain. Must have a strong understanding of Financial Statements, financial consolidation process and be able to handle tight deadlines with high accuracy
  • Position requires a strong analytical mindset; strong collaboration skills and excellent problem solving capabilities
  • Position is required to interact with all levels of management from CFO to divisional financial leads and be able to interpret and communicate financial results as needed
  • This person will need to maintain a strong rapport with various teams: SC Finance COE, Snacks divisional finance team

 

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 3+ years Finance experience required – CPG experience preferred


Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Ability to identify, design and implement financial reporting & analysis process improvements
  • Excellent business partner and thought leader with superior analytical abilities
  • Ability to effectively partner with the divisional finance leadership team to help drive business results as well as the SC Finance COE
  • Ability to develop an overall monthly/quarterly consolidated closing/reporting plan, coupled with the tactical skills to implement the plan
  • Experience in building a strong, business-focused team with a bias for action
  • Strong business acumen; understanding of Campbell’s various business models preferred
  • Executive presence, exudes calm confidence and control under pressure
  • Ensures credible, actionable, high impact recommendations
