Finance Business Manager

At HubSpot, the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for forecasting key business metrics, long term financial planning, business partnering with leadership to support growth, and operational and financial reporting and analysis for all levels of the organization. We’re trusted business partners that provide recommendations and analysis to help drive sound business decisions.


As a Finance Manager and Go-to-Market (GTM) business partner, you will play a key role in helping our GTM functions make decisions and grow. You’ll be partnered with leaders in the organization, such as the heads of our Partner and International businesses, and tasked with helping them track their business performance vs. planned metrics, diagnose what is happening within key metric trends or different segments, geographies or types of customers, and run ROI analyses to help make decisions on potential operational changes or expansions to the business.


The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and collaborative problem solver with excellent communication skills that looks to find high-leverage areas of the business and use data to drive improved business outcomes.


What you’ll do:

  • Analyze & Report: Design both recurring and ad hoc reporting and analysis on key business metrics. Present findings in a clear and actionable format.
  • Communicate: Package and present recommendations, forecasts and ROI analyses with key business insights to stakeholders such as the global leaders of the Partner and International businesses to facilitate informed decision making.
  • Business Partner & Collaborate: Build relationships with Go-to-market business leaders to build trust and help educate and enable sound financial decision makers throughout the business. This includes working with business stakeholders to translate the financial results into something more actionable. Collaborate with team members within the Finance team and Functional Ops groups throughout the business.
  • Forecast: Build and iterate on comprehensive forecasting models to incorporate the impacts of customer behavior, product & packaging changes and go-to-market efforts.


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in the software (SaaS ideal) industry
  • A strong business acumen and problem solving ability
  • Foundation in financial scenario modeling
  • Proficiency in SaaS economics and the market landscape
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including with the executive team
  • Analytical, creative thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Expert-level Excel knowledge with experience using Business Intelligence tools (Looker a plus)
  • Highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization
