Finance Business Intelligence Manager

Chicago, IL

The Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for setting team priorities and for partnering with leaders in our operations groups to ensure business needs are met. This leadership role required excellent interpersonal skills, strong business acumen, an a deep analytics skill set to drive operational efficiencies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with various Operations groups, such as Cultivation, Processing, and Supply Chain to ensure all business questions/needs are understood, appropriate analytic plans are developed, and quickly implemented.
  • Manages a team of 2-4 analysts, helping them prioritize the most important tasks & projects and manage their cross-functional stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Coaches the team, guiding them to step out of the analysis and connect the dots on the key business questions to the actionable insights.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to both the team and to stakeholders, helping us drive to actionable insights faster. Areas of exploration include root-cause analysis on changes in yield performance, forecasting future supply levels, throughput/production volume, supporting product investigations, capacity modeling, and strain/product rationalization.
  • Works closely with the cross-functional leaders as part of our Sales & Operations Planning process; has an active voice on behalf of operations.
  • Use advanced analytics to develop and implement best in class business strategies to improve operations throughput.
  • Define data governance, assumptions, and procedures to quality check data and reporting accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience using data science skills and quantitative analysis to solve business problems
  • Bachelors in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, finance or accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must have strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable communicating analysis to members of the executive team or external stakeholders using tools like SQL, Python, etc.
  • Capable of deriving analytics across many platforms (Jupyter, Excel, Looker, etc.)
