Field Service Analyst

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an immediate opening for Sr. Field Service Analyst in the Customer Services Group. This position will work with the Peterbilt Field Service team, dealers and management team to provide customer service support to our end users.


Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform chassis / engine research relating to fire cases and work with our Corporate Legal group to set up investigations and develop defenses as needed.
  • Work with dealers, Field Service Managers, plant, suppliers and PACCAR Parts to facilitate parts shipments, replacement labels and missing vehicle documentation.
  • Work with Paccar Engine Company and Paccar Parts to facilitate engine replacements and report on engine replacement status to management and field teams as needed.
  • Work with accounting on engine invoice reconciliations
  • Entry of engine material claims into the warranty system
  • Work with liaison engineering to locate and correct factory misbuilds that have been released to dealers.
  • Assist with departmental specialized reporting team.
  • Other Duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate must:

  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office (MS Access preferred).
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Dealers, Customers, Suppliers and Peterbilt management to resolve issues in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required,
  • Demonstrate independent judgment.
  • Manage multiple priorities, keep management well informed, and display perseverance in bringing issues to resolution.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and the ability to respond quickly to issues. 
  • Maintain composure and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders

 

Applicant will be expected to have or to learn the following:

Peterbilt Product and MX Engine Knowledge

  • Cab Systems (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Chassis Systems (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Engine and After treatment Systems


Peterbilt Systems or similar systems to the following

  • DWC / SIR (Dealer Warranty Claims/Service Information Record)
  • Copics / OPS (Peterbilt business systems)
  • E-Portal / DealerNet
  • ECAT, TCS365
  • SAP
  • VOG


Supplier Systems

  • Vagus Tracking System (Active Transport)
  • PPD (PACCAR Parts)

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required and 3 or more years of related technical experience required.
