Field Sales Educator

Chicago, IL

The Field Sales Educator is primarily responsible for helping the wholesale sales team achieve it’s objectives for the assigned territory. Key responsibilities include influencing and educating customers, collecting email addresses, implementing sales strategies, and creating consistent product feedback loops. 


Responsibilities:

  • Educate dispensary and other trade partners on Revolution products and brands.
  • Procure daily/weekly on-site visits to dispensary and trade partners. 
  • Collect market information on competitors products, pricing, and services.
  • Recommend adjustments to the Revolution product mix based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency requirements.
  • Complete regular market visits within the assigned territory. Must be available nights, weekends and during regular business hours for in-market administrative tasks, meetings consumer engagement activity, events, and training. 
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings that include activity results, plans for the upcoming sales period, and improvements to the marketing / sales funnel.
  • Ensure monthly account surveys via online menus, dispensary staff email collection, and in person store visits are completed.
  • Produce and analyze weekly and monthly performance results against plan.
  • Ensure all business-related expenses are reported on time and accurately, including submittal of invoices and receipts, monthly expense reports and purchase order requests.
  • May require occasional sales operations duties such as entering sales orders, entering inventory into systems, and following up on dispensary marketing and ad-hoc requests.

 

Cross- Departmental Functions:

Collaborate closely with Dispensary Operations, Wholesale Operations, Marketing, Sales and Education Teams.


Minimum Education:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience. 


Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in a cannabis related sales leadership role. 
  • A thorough understanding of consumer and trade marketing brand strategies, preferably in cannabis. 
  • Knowledge of the cannabis market, including local laws and statutes. 
  • Presentation skills and customer facing experience, specifically as it relates to developing new customers and building sales volume with established customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.). Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness. 
  • Strong organization planning & project management skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance 
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks 
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater) 
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions 
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise) 

 

Work Schedule:

40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
