Field Marketing Manager

San Francisco, CA

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora,你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to hubs in Austin and San Francisco, which are now home to our US operations. So whether you're in Texas or California, you have choice in where and how you work in each of those states. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

As a Field Marketing Manager at Canva, you will be a key player in our B2B marketing strategy, driving brand awareness and demand generation in the US market. This role is essential for establishing and encouraging relationships with prospects, customers, and partners through localized marketing efforts. You will work closely with the sales team, channel partners, and other collaborators to build impactful field marketing campaigns that drive business growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Planning:  Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing strategies tailored to the US market, aligning with overall B2B marketing objectives and sales goals.
  • Event Management:  Plan, organize, and execute tentpole, high touch and industry events, trade shows, seminars, and webinars to showcase Canva's solutions, engage prospects, and generate high-quality leads.
  • Content Creation:  Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content, collateral, and presentations for field marketing initiatives, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Partnership Building:  Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners, resellers, and influencers to amplify Canva's presence and reach in the US B2B market.
  • Lead Generation:  Drive demand generation campaigns, leveraging various channels such as email marketing, social media, and digital advertising to generate leads and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Data Analysis:  Monitor and analyze the performance of field marketing campaigns, providing actionable insights to optimize future initiatives and demonstrate ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Collaborate closely with the sales team, product marketing, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between field marketing activities and sales strategies.
  • Budget Management:  Manage the field marketing budget effectively, allocating resources judiciously to maximize impact and achieve desired outcomes.

What we're looking for:

  • You have 5 years of experience in B2B field marketing, preferably in the SaaS industry. Proven track record of planning and driving successful campaigns.
  • You have strategic mentality to develop localized marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences and drive business results.
  • You enjoy coordinating and leading various types of events, from small-scale workshops to large industry conferences.
  • You're an excellent content creation and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop compelling marketing materials and presentations.
  • You're analytical with data analysis and campaign performance measurement. Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems is a plus.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • You're adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and market dynamics.
