The web edition of the award-winning current affairs magazine The Week is looking for an Executive Editor to lead the US digital team. The successful candidate will be an experienced digital editor with the talent and energy to build an audience for high-quality digital journalism.
Like its sister print publication, The Week’s website publishes a smart and eclectic range of briefings, digests, discussions, and reviews which are distilled from a wide variety of sources. Our regular reader look to us for analysis, context, and commentary, as well as an open-minded digest of reporting from across the political spectrum.
The Week publishes print magazines in the UK and the US and is in the process of bringing together its UK and US websites into a single international site.
What you'll be doing…
You will lead and manage the US digital editorial team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of US output, setting editorial standards, and delivering the quality our readers expect. You will develop editorial strategies in line with The Week's print strategies & expand our digital products that complement The Week’s brand values.

- Substantial experience editing online news.
- Experience building digital audiences through search, social media, and referrals
- A good grasp of the digital media landscape and an understanding of the challenges the industry faces.

Please note, the salary range for this position is $80,000-105,000
