We are looking for someone to assist the CEO of a small company. We are also creating educational books and curricula and would need someone to assist with the administrative tasks, especially typing.

Core responsibilities

  • Type contents for books and curricula
  • Help manage administrative tasks for 1 executive
  • Handle requests and queries appropriately
  • Arrange meetings and appointments as needed
  • Produce manuscripts and presentations as directed


  • The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, creative, energetic, curious, and willing to learn.
  • Typing speed 60-80 wpm
  • Full comprehension of Microsoft Word or Google docs
  • Experience working with Adobe InDesign, or willing to learn, is a bonus
  • 1-5 years experience as an administrative assistant, executive assistant or in other secretarial work
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • High level verbal and written communications skills
  • Work is remote, though a few in-person meetings in the Chicago area would be helpful and preferred

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00/hour | Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location | 20 hrs/wk | Contract (1099) | Remote work yes (100%) | Travel not required
