Executive Assistant

New York, NY

In this position you will assist key executives at Rent the Runway, providing administrative support in all day to day needs. You will enable some of the company’s most influential leaders to be more efficient by keeping them organized, prepared and on time. You will also help manage the internal operating cadence of the company, liaising with senior leaders to ensure the business runs smoothly. You will also have the opportunity to deal with a diverse group of executives internally and externally, acting as a key representative of the RTR brand.

The right candidate could use this role as a jumping off point for other roles within the company over time.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide administrative support to multiple executives (President & COO, CFO and others)
  • Manage all aspects of executives’ calendars including: conference calls, appointments, meetings, travel, transportation, etc.
  • Support the internal operating cadence of the company in partnership with the business operations team (such as business reviews and company meetings) 
  • Assist in editing and management of presentations/materials for meetings
  • Anticipate the needs of the executives you support, including how to manage their schedules most effectively, when they should visit various locations, etc.
  • Create and implement a follow up system on all outstanding scheduling and miscellaneous issues
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and outside partners, including other high-level executives and business leaders, board members, vendors, etc.
  • Support communication, organization and general business needs as necessary, creating and maintaining documents, folders, filing systems, drives and databases
  • Handle business expenses, including reconciling corporate card accounts and creating/ submitting expense reports
  • Coordinate catering for exec, board & company meetings / occasional larger scale RTR events as well as meals / coffee for executives on a regular basis
  • Work independently and within the EA / RTR team on special and ongoing projects when necessary (i.e. lunch and learns, external and RTR Board meetings, retreats, business dinners, etc.)       


About You:

  • 3+ years of prior administrative experience
  • Relevant work experience in a startup, ecommerce and/or technology based company preferred, or company with similar pace and structure
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and demonstrate ability to juggle multiple competing tasks, deadlines, personalities, long and short term projects, etc.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization including senior executives, board members, etc.
  • Extreme attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Must be forward thinking and constantly one step ahead
  • Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information and use best judgment for sharing information
  • Proficiency in: word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Gmail, Slack, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Word, etc.)

The anticipated base salary for this position is $78,400 - $98,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
