Equity Plan Administrator

Kansas City, MO

Come join our team! The Equity Plan Administrator is a critical member of our team and will own equity administration and certain other compensation and accounting related deliverables. In this role you will work both independently and collaboratively with other teams across the Company and with the Accounting and Finance team. This role will report to the Controller.


You Will:

  • Own equity grant administration by managing all grant processing and records maintenance within Shareworks. Prepare and distribute grant documentation and related agreements to employees.
  • Manage monthly cap table reporting. Own all equity-based accounting activities. 
  • Act as the main contact for all equity related matters and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to employees who have questions regarding their equity grants.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze general ledger activity and reconciliations for discrepancies that should be brought to the Controller’s attention.
  • Support successful execution of annual audit activity (corporate financial statements, 401K, etc), by managing PBCs and in-depth analysis/ reconciliations.
  • Participate in the implementation of changes to policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate growth, compliance and scaling of the business.

You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other quantitative discipline. CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • 4-6 years of equity administration experience, with 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Advanced excel skills required (critical to success in the position); experience with
  • QuickBooks, NetSuite, Shareworks, Paylocity, Bill.com and Expensify a plus
  • High acumen around critical thinking and organization 
  • A proactive approach to communication.
