Our Northeast Environmental business in Western New York is looking for an Environmental Team Lead to join the group. In this role, you will contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through Project Management, staff development/mentoring, site conceptual model development, technical and regulatory strategy development, and some business development
Working with an energetic and hard working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Project management and leadership of various environmental projects including maintenance of project scope, schedule, budget and quality through the coordination of project teams and via direct client communication
- Participate in and lead project teams in the planning, design, and execution environmental compliance, assessment, and remedial programs
- Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their environmental liabilities and concerns
- Identify and support business development, client expansion and proposal development activities for the Northeast's Environmental business
- Preparing technical proposals
- Mentor and provide leadership to a small group of entry-level and junior environmental professionals
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- At least 15 years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- Project experience in federal contracts beneficial
- Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel client meetings is required

Salary Range: $94,400 - $141,600 based on experience
