Environmental Sustainability Program Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Own Scope 1, 2, & 3 GHG emissions data collection and calculation with the support of 3rd party consultant and prepare reports for internal and external communication. 
  • Work with Value Chain and Product Sustainability Manager to design and execute initiatives to meet our commitment in these areas: 
  • Low Carbon Production: upgrade energy sources to renewable, design for manufacturing efficiency, reuse manufacturing waste.
  • Water Conservation: design for manufacturing with low water consumption. Work with partners to recycle and reuse water. 
  • Comply with the strictest regulatory requirements. Harmful chemicals removed from production.
  • Research policies, trends, and best practices related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy, transportation, materials management, natural resource management, and other sustainability topics.
  • Participate in industry working group meetings on behalf of Fitbit. 
  • Synthesize and translate complex information into clear, informative, and compelling materials (e.g., summaries, fact sheets, presentations, reports) for diverse audiences.


Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of working experience and 3+ years experience in sustainability with a focus on environment and climate adaptation and mitigation strategies.
  • Direct working experience on climate change issues, including conducting greenhouse gas inventories and identifying strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Experience in setting SBTs and/or completing CDP is a plus. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on multiple complex projects in diverse areas.
  • Analytical self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and supply chain. 
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, and other engineering or science-related degrees is preferred.
  • Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
