Environmental Scientist Intern

We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support execution of projects involving soil and groundwater investigation, compliance, and remediation activities in accordance with the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, or other regulatory programs.
  • Assist in preparing environmental science-related calculations, tables, and figures.
  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Provide office support for data management and report preparation.
  • Ability to work independently with diverse staff in office and non-office settings.
  • Must demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications.
  • Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.


Minimum Requirements

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience in related field a plus
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a project team and a fast-paced environment
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus
  • Environmental field work experience (groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging, etc.)
