Environmental Scientist

As an Environmental Scientist for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll conduct office and field activities related to environmental compliance projects and help develop plans, permit applications, and reports.

Duties may include:

Preparing environmental data tables, maps, figures, and reports to help interprets results and make recommendations for further action.
Preparing engineering calculations, complete application forms, and help compile permit applications for new and expanding industrial, energy, and other commercial enterprises.
Contributing to the preparation of environmental regulatory reports and plans.
Conducting field investigations, data collection, and site reconnaissance tasks.

Qualifications

B.S. in Environmental Science or related field;
0-4 years professional experience;
Detailed-oriented;
Ability to work independently;
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
Ability to speak effectively;
Ability to use Microsoft Word Processing and MS Excel spreadsheet software;
Ability to travel overnight and work extended hours as needed.
