Fort Point Associates, (www.fpa-inc.com ), A Tetra Tech Company, is currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated planning intern to support a wide range of private development, institutional, and public sector projects. Join a top-notch team of planners in a friendly, flexible, and collaborative downtown work environment.
We currently seek a planning intern with an opportunity to work from our Boston, MA office. The individual will work with experienced planners and will be exposed to a wide range of private development, institutional and public sector projects, including climate change and sustainable development. Types of projects an individual could expect to be exposed to include Boston Article 80 and MEPA permitting, institutional master planning, and resiliency planning & design.
Our internship opportunities are designed to provide actual professional experience to planning students. Our interns are primarily supervised by our planners and engineers who assist with day-to-day questions and prepare the intern to solve problems while completing assigned projects or portions of projects.
Requirements:
- Working towards a graduate degree in Urban and Environmental Planning
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Conformance to quality standards and deadlines
- Interest in developing strong Adobe inDesign skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) experience
- Experience with ArcGIS is a plus
