WSP is currently initiating a search for an Environmental Field Inspector in our One Penn Plaza New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Provide oversight of investigation and remediation activities.
- Prepare daily activity reports.
- Oversee and log soil borings and monitoring wells.
- Conduct multimedia environmental sampling and monitoring and interpret the results.
- Perform project research and data gathering.
- Prepare report materials including text, figures, and drawings.
- Prepare plans and specifications.
- Attention and commitment to timely completion of high-quality work.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental engineering, or closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of prior experience performing site investigation and remediation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
- Ability to travel around the NY/NJ Metro area.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
- Prior experience providing environmental services in and for NYS and/or NYC agencies.
- ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD and/or Microstation, Surfer or similar technical software experience.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers).

WSP Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $86,000 - $137,600
