Where will you work:

Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It’s split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.

Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

Full time Co-Op/Internship. 36-40 hours a week on site.

Our Environmental Engineer Co-op Student opportunities play a key part in our business.  These positions are intended to give students hands-on experience.

What you’ll do?

Day to day work assignments assigned by the supervisor and could include:

A combination of environmental project management and engineering field work (e.g., groundwater sampling program, environmental inspections, environmental improvement projects, etc.)
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) related project management with a focus on our ESG targets, particularly the net zero roadmap modeling.

What you’ll need:

Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or a similar educational background (Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering)
72% GPA or higher
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is required
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Basic computer skills are required
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
