Environmental Engineer Co-op Student

Where will you work:
Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It’s split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.
Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

- January 13 - April 25, 2025
- Full time Co-Op/Internship. 36-40 hours a week on site.
Our Environmental Engineer Co-op Student opportunities play a key part in our business. These positions are intended to give students hands-on experience.
What you’ll do?
Day to day work assignments assigned by the supervisor and could include:
- A combination of environmental project management and engineering field work (e.g., groundwater sampling program, environmental inspections, environmental improvement projects, etc.)
- Environmental, social and governance (ESG) related project management with a focus on our ESG targets, particularly the net zero roadmap modeling.
What you’ll need:
- Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, or a similar educational background (Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering)
- 72% GPA or higher
- 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is required
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
- Basic computer skills are required
- Experience working in a team environment is a must
- Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
- Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
- Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
