Environmental Compliance Specialist
Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and compliance? Maverik is seeking a dedicated Environmental Compliance Specialist to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our Environmental Management System. In this exciting position, you will manage and oversee Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance, ensuring all documentation and regulatory requirements are met efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive Environmental Management System for Underground Storage Tank-related recordkeeping and task management
- Assist in the management of an in-house online documentation repository for all Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance-related documents
- Assist with Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance, including review and scheduling of monthly inspections and annual/triennial testing and inspections
- Prepare appropriate documentation for regulatory inspections
- Coordinate and track repairs associated with UST inspections
- Review and maintain Class C Operator training records
- Partner with the Risk Management Department for UST system insurance coverage
Qualifications: Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of College, University or Technical School, preferred
Qualifications: Experience
- 1+ yrs. of Retail Petroleum industry experience, Convenience Store experience, or familiarity with Underground Storage Tank Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
