Enterprise Cloud Engineer Lead

Middletown, CT

Reporting to the head of Engineering, the Enterprise Cloud Engineer Lead is directly responsible for the formation, planning, architecture and implementation of the Liberty Bank Cloud Strategy. This individual will work closely with our Infrastructure, Cyber and Security teams to understand the current disposition of applications and assets and create a vision and strategic roadmap for moving Liberty Bank to the Cloud.

 

Essential Functions

  • Experience with a variety of Cloud technologies (e.g. Virtual Machines, Containers, Serverless Architecture, Storage, Network, Automation, Cloud Backup, and Security (Azure preferred)) to develop and maintain a modern cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practices and cloud security
  • Administers and analyzes existing IT infrastructure and application deployments to develop requirements for the design and implementation of new or revised network and computer systems and hybrid cloud services;
  • Research, identify and implement new Azure tools, services and features to improve efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness;
  • Work with our Service Now team to stand up a Service Catalog to consume services
  • Provide management oversight of our cloud tenent
  • Build/implement new automation tools and scripts to solve customer problems (internal and external), improve efficiencies on repetitive tasks
  • Maintains physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure for the enterprise as part of a team
  • Monitors system logs and activity on all servers and cloud services
  • Manages Windows security features to protect confidential information while allowing appropriate access;
  • Proficient with security best practices in server configuration, tool development, and access controls.
  • Proficient with Active Directory administration and able to support access management operations.
  • Proficient with correlation and monitoring solutions such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, or SCOM and/or Solarwinds 
  • Assist in rolling out M365 for the enterprise (including Authentication, InTune, Purview, eVault and deskside configuration of tools)
  • Experience with Azure, Azure AD, Azure Storage, High Availability Systems and Services in Azure, M365 and hybrid ecosystems
  • Designs, recommend and implement network, storage and system changes and expansions in Azure


Minimum knowledge/skills

  • Proven Cloud Migration Experience
  • At least 3-5 years Azure Cloud experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and 3rd Party Tools
  • Azure Cloud Certified
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent field required
  • Banking experience a plus

Hybrid (Connecticut Candidates)

  • This position is eligible to work a Hybrid Schedule. You are required to work onsite 3 days per week at the Middletown location and 2 days per week remote. Wednesdays are a core day that all employees are expected to come into the office. During your first 90 days, we request that you plan to be onsite at our office during your Onboarding period. 


Remote (Out of State Candidates)

  • This position is eligible to work a Fully Remote Schedule. You are expected to be available to travel to the work location as needed for work purposes.
