Engineering Internship

Longmont, CO

This position is within the integration team supporting leading edge Hard Disk Drive custom ASIC controller development. The team integrates IP to generate an SoC for physical implementation and verifies the design with the goal of first time right production silicon enabling fast time-to-market productization. In addition to general integration efforts, the SoC team takes a leadership role in defining and driving Seagate’s VLSI verification methodology.


About the role - You will:

  • Plan, create, and execute projects supporting SoC verification
  • Contribute to SoC verification process improvements
  • Participate in ASIC development efforts


About you:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excel in a cross functional team setting
  • Critical thinking skills to create innovative solutions to solve complex problems
  • Self-motivated explorer who is detail oriented
  • Classroom or practical experience with Verilog/VHDL or SystemVerilog
  • Familiarity with OOP languages (eg., C++, Java, etc)


Your experience includes:

  • Understanding microprocessor based systems and associated peripherals
  • Experience running and debugging using HDL simulators
  • Familiarity with constrained random environment using UVM, OVM, or VMM
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (eg., TCL, Perl, Python, etc)
  • Student working toward a BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering


Location:

Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $18– $30. Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
