Employee Relations Specialist

El Dorado, AR

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This position is responsible for providing Employee Relations support to various levels of the organization. Responsibilities includes investigating cases from the Ethics Hotline, recommending corrective actions for workforce issues, and advising management with respect to federal, state and local laws.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Act as internal consultant for the Ethics Hotline.

2. Provide coaching, counseling, and recommendations to varying levels of the organization on a broad range of workforce issues.

3. Assist in the investigation and resolution of legal complaints by drafting documentation to support Legal cases.

4. Attend mediations as a company representative to further assist in the resolution of legal matters.

5. Provide investigatory support to management in complex employee relations cases as a part of the conflict resolution process.

5. Provide Company policy and procedure training in the form of New Hire Orientation.

6. Provide/Conduct HR training presentations for Region ? Store Manager

7. Monitor company training requirements to ensure compliance.

8. Conduct exit interviews to ensure proper information is captured, recorded, and is available for analysis.

9. Present updates to key initiatives at regional management meetings.

10. Conduct interactive process with regard to medical restrictions and/or ADA request for reasonable accommodation(s)

11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
