The Team & Role

As the Remote Employee Experience Manager on the Workplace Experience team, you’re the head and heart of the remote employee workplace, you will be responsible for cultivating and fostering a strong sense of community by nurturing and facilitating the remote experience. Our ideal candidate has a passion for culture building and the desire to make a positive impact in an ever-evolving workplace environment. You will be responsible for developing inclusive and innovative programs to support our distributed workforce, and make sure the remote experience has a voice when building out our overall Workplace Experience strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Build an equitable workplace experience for our remote Gems aligned with our overall People strategy
  • Establish standards, practices and processes to achieve optimal remote Gem experience and advocate adoption across functional teams
  • Stay connected with our remote Gems to identify trends, pain points and gain inspiration for overall improvements
  • Identify innovative ideas to keep our remote Gems productive and happy
  • Design, implement and host virtual events to create opportunities for our remote Gems to connect and have fun


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in workplace experience or employee experience in a scaling start-up environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a remote-first and hybrid environment with a deep understanding of the remote experience
  • Call yourself a people person and excited about building relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the remote landscape
  • Experience planning and hosting virtual events
  • Ability to multitask in a challenging and fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities
  • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership

Gem’s Vaccination Policy

Gem requires all employees to be fully vaccinated* for COVID-19 prior to starting work. Gem is an equal opportunity employer, and will consider requests for exemption from this policy as a reasonable accommodation where it can do so absent undue hardship, consistent with federal, state, and local law.


Employees are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after completing primary vaccination with a COVID-19 vaccine, with, if applicable, at least the minimum recommended interval between doses. For example, this includes two weeks after a second does in a two-does series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or two weeks after the second dose of any combination of two doses of different COVID-19 vaccines as part of one primary vaccination series.
