Employee Communications Specialist

Texas Instruments is looking for an HR Communications program manager, supporting Global Compensation, HR Operations and Benefits (C&OB). This communicator will be responsible for working with the C&OB HR Communications Manager to develop and execute strategic global communications for HR projects and programs that include recurring annual programs, along with company-level strategic initiatives. Projects include annual enrollment, well-being programs, financial benefits, profit sharing, employee stock purchase plan, time and pay, and more.

  • Ownership of creation and execution of projects; partnership with other HR Communicators on cross-functional programs.
  • Interact with other communications partners including TI Studios, Creative Operations, Corporate Content, and more.
  • Work with a global team of HR communicators supporting all functions of HR, including recruitment digital marketing, talent acquisition, talent development, ethics and D&I.
  • Join a worldwide cohort of employee and executive communicators that meet monthly for team building, best practice sharing, and global updates.


Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with HR leaders to develop a strategy of what and how we communicate to employees about the compensation and benefits associated with their jobs each year, including annual compensation reviews, annual benefits enrollment, mental and financial well-being programs, time and pay, profit sharing, equity and more. All communications must consider a global employee population, with many non-wired employees.
  • Develop and execute company-wide communications around critical and challenging projects from TI’s Global Compensation, HR Operations & Benefits (C&OB) organizations, such as educating employees and managers about TI’s compensation philosophy, improving the new hire onboarding experience, promoting enhanced mobile access for HR global systems, and more.
  • Build and refine an annual C&OB editorial calendar, and execute communications across various channels, including email newsletters, TI’s internal intranet site “Infolink”, digital signage, supervisor pass-down slides, and other internal channels to reach a global audience.
  • Manage Infolink (intranet) content and governance plans for C&OB pages across internal sites such as myHR, Inside HR and LEADERSHIPmatters, and develop a strategy for transitioning C&OB pages and resources to HR’s new “HR Connect” self-service knowledgebase platform. 
  • Curate and develop content for global email newsletters, such as Inside HR. 
  • Collaborate with other employees and executive communicators to understand optimal ways to reach employee audiences across TI.


Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field,
  • 5+ years of related experience


Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven track record of producing high-quality, measurable and effective communications
  • Strong writing, editing and presentation skills, including accuracy in content (fact checking) and grammar (AP style, last stop for quality control)
  • Skilled in assessing and using various communications channels to deliver high-impact messaging
  • Maintains a consistently high quality of work when managing multiple projects or working in a short time frame
  • Builds relationships and collaborates within and outside of his/her organization to help achieve business outcomes
  • Comfortable expressing critical assessment of a direction or decision, while being able to offer alternative solutions or influence key stakeholders
  • Proficiency utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe DC and experience with email campaign tools, such as Politemail
  • Experience working for or with a human resources organization
  • Knowledge of the high-tech or semiconductor industries
