Editorial Director, Health Commerce

As Editorial Director of Health Commerce, you will lead Verywell’s mission to provide the best products to people by giving them the content they need to make a purchasing decision. You will be responsible for managing and creating a content strategy for shopping pages on Verywell Health, Fit, Mind, and Family.

About Your Contributions:

  • Drive copy and editorial commerce strategy across Verywell Fit, Family, Mind, and Health 
  • Manage a team of full-time employees as well as a vast team of freelancers
  • Improve workflow efficiencies where needed
  • Identify keyword gaps and up and coming trends in the healthcare industry
  • Analyze revenue and make both editorial and data-driven decisions based on your knowledge
  • Develop and maintain best practices across the Verywell brands and how they relate to commerce
  • Lead editorial projects that enhance the readers’ experience and give our brands more authority 
  • Communicate effectively with the editorial team, product, revenue, growth, and all stakeholders across the organization


About You:

  • 8+ years of editing experience at a health-focused publisher
  • 6+ years working in the commerce and affiliate industry
  • Experience working in Skimlinks, Amazon associates, and pulling revenue numbers 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or Asana
  • A track record of growth in your past roles
  • Experience scaling copy and editorial operations in a high-growth environment 
  • Experience using citations 
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong copywriter, capable of writing engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping a pre-defined voice in mind
  • Bachelor's degree required
