Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Partner

Reporting to the Director of DE&I Center of Excellence, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Partner will bring applicable experience to help develop and execute DEI programming that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our business. This role will serve as a diversity, equity and inclusion subject matter expert both internally and externally to move the DE&I agenda forward in their client spaces, identify and share best practices, and remain current on DE&I trends. They will advise client groups on how to achieve their business goals by utilizing inclusive frameworks, strategies, and measures. This DE&I Partner will play a significant role in developing and implementing effective diversity, equality, and inclusion programs, and related training.


THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The DE&I Partner will build a collaborative partnership with business POCs across the enterprise and HR Centers of Excellence to support the achievement of D&I goals and objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the design and delivery of programs and initiatives to attract, retain, and promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Conducting needs assessment, assist in the development and implementation of DE&I education and training initiatives that meet the needs of their client groups and are tied to the overall strategic plan. Will facilitate DE&I training across all levels in the organization.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to leaders/leadership teams to identify DE&I opportunities within their divisions and/or business units. Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of organizational needs.
  • Identify and make recommendations on relationships with relevant external associations and organizations to support efforts related to diversity and inclusion.
  • Remain current on the diversity, equality, and inclusion field with respect to trends, best practices and program development while ensuring existing DE&I tools and resources are current and relevant.
  • Assist in identifying and helping to introduce new tools and resources to the organization.
  • Influencing client groups and/or working groups to accomplish business unit goals and objectives in accordance with federal regulations and employment laws.
  • May influence policies, procedures and programs based on D&I best practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the advancement of Fannie Mae's diversity and inclusion goals.


Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and/or leading successful D&I programs and/or broad Corporate initiatives


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent strongly preferred; degrees in HR Management, Organizational Development, Diversity & Inclusion, or similar area of focus are preferred
  • Experience with consulting and/or client engagement related to D&I programs in a Financial Services or Tech company strongly preferred
  • Persuasive strategic communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across all employee levels to enable cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with and/or exposure to employee resource group (ERG) programs
  • Record of leveraging data (both internal and external) to support strategies and recommendations on DEI goals and tactics
  • Experience partnering with Human Resources functions to drive an inclusive lens on all elements of the talent cycle
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Skilled in Information Retrieval including fact gathering, conducting focus groups and interviews, designing surveys, etc.
