Distribution Operations Specialist

Orlando, FL

Under direction from Associate Manager, Distribution, the Distribution Operations Specialist will be responsible for the daily activities and performance of the multiple distribution companies that provide distributions services to our restaurants.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Distributor Operations:

  • Facilitate routine reroutes at all DC’s and ensure proposed times meet our contractual expectations
  • Update and maintain Restaurant Information Database (RID) as required
  • Establish strong connections with all DC related contacts, including but not limited to, Customer Service and Transportation teams
  • Track DC performance related to on-time, fill-rate, clean order
  • Generate DC benchmarking reporting, including metrics for DC of the Year Award


Restaurant Support:

  • Serve as initial point of contact for the DCs & Restaurants for day-to-day delivery issues or concerns
  • Proactively initiate initial remedies for delivery delays or concerns from restaurant operations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our field leaders to assist in DC related issues and communications
  • Assist with communication and contingencies for widespread service failures, such as storms, snow, or hurricanes
  • Support DC activities related to opening a new restaurant, including NRO delivery compliance
  • Work with TQ team in the event emergency supplies are needed at a restaurant (Ex. Boil water mandate)


Invoice Reporting/ Admin Responsibilities:

  • Work with PSA team on invoice submission along with i-Buy approval for freight related invoices
  • Run weekly reporting on DC performance
  • Support Product Supply Analysts and Distribution/Operations with any additional reporting/ i-Supply Logistics Changes / Hurricane Task Force trucks/emergency materials deployment


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum of two years in distribution environment
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate user of Excel & experience with Business Intelligence


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management

  • Proactive mindset and ability to solve problems within the scope of the position
