Job Title: Inventory Associate

Department: Distribution

Reports to: Distribution Supervisor(s)

Job Class: Non-exempt


Position Summary:        

The Inventory Associate is responsible for the intake, upkeep, processing, and shipping out of product. This must be done while maintaining a high degree of accuracy within the systems for the duration of the product’s lifecycle. This requires a mastery of several different processes including( but not limited to) Data Entry, Receiving, Cycle Counting, Order Processing, Quality Control, and Delivery Prep. The role also requires an overarching understanding of company mechanics, and the ability to foster strong inter-departmental communication. The maintenance of these channels and processes is vital to the continued growth and compliance of the company, and ensures that shortages on the Retail shelves are avoided at all costs.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving
  • Cycle Counting
  • Order Processing
  • Stocking Shelves
  • Delivery Prep
  • Quality Control


Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 3 years of inventory experience in a distribution environment
  • Cycle counting, order pulling, stocking, shipping, or receiving experience
  • ERP software experience (preferred)
  • METRC or cannabis seed-to-sale software experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel

This position requires the ability to:

  • Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
  • Work cohesively as a team with co-workers
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written


Education:

Must have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university (preferred)
  • 3 years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Valid California Driver’s License


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
  • Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends
