Our dedicated Integrated Marketing team is full of passionate cross-functional people, and we are seeking individuals with the same energy, diligence and positivity who can help us lead growth for our business.

 

As the Director, Social Media and Communications you will play a meaningful role in driving our Colgate business forward including responsibility for the following areas of the business:

  • Drive overall content strategy and ensure the successful execution across all owned social channels and platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube and potential additional platforms as they develop
  • Work collaboratively across the organization with both internal and external partners in brand, media, IBE, consumer insights, shopper marketing and an Integrated Agency Team to develop and implement owned social and influencer marketing plans across all consumer touchpoints to support brand communication strategies and business objectives
  • Lead the team responsible for building content strategy, influencer, UGC, always on, campaign specific support, & event coverage
  • Develop and drive a strategic vision across the social landscape aligned with current and future-focused consumer trends, media trends, and emerging technology
  • Educate senior marketing and business leaders on the business impact of the evolving social media landscape and how to best leverage media & marketing investments and new platforms to drive business results 
  • Provide holistic guidance of overall brand user experience: identify opportunities to optimize across paid, owned and earned channels
  • Build brand partnerships and activations that are rooted in compelling insights, are culturally relevant, and deliver on brand fit and comms objectives/strategies
  • Partner with Paid Media to ensure unified strategy across Organic and Paid
  • Oversee Influencer strategy through to implementation and optimization
  • Maintain pulse on marketplace, cultural trends and current social media innovation and provide actionable insights and direction; drive thought leadership beyond the day-to-day 
  • Evolve how social media can be leveraged as well as value creation
  • Work with internal Creative teams to develop content & key franchises in manner that is native to social, including developing aesthetic & tone
  • Lead the team creating and editing social content (IG Stories, Reels, IGTVs) where appropriate
  • Proactively manage consumer response and community management by detecting inflection points in social media that warrant attention; own internal escalation processes
  • Proactively engage consumers with Surprise-and-Delights to drive favorable brand discussions and advocacy
  • Manage, mentor, develop, and inspire a team of media professionals, providing guidance and coaching to support their professional development and growth

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 12+ years prior experience within PR and/or social media, agency or client
  • Digital Marketing expertise with an understanding of how to use marketing levers to drive commercial growth
  • Ability to build and articulate comms strategies and partnership ideas, internally and across all consumer touchpoints
  • Paid Media experience (All Channels including Video, Social and Influencer Marketing)
  • Campaign and Always-On Planning and Budgeting
  • Understanding of Insights with activation experience in Consumer Journey Maps
  • Exposure to IMC analytics including Brand lift, MMM, site analytics
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills; both as a leader and team player

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPG experience
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and high-performing teams simultaneously in a fast paced environment


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $146,000.00 - $207,000.00 USD


Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.


Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
