Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM")  is seeking a Director of Social Media to be the hands-on executive for all of our Unscripted Television.

The ideal candidate is obsessed with pop-culture and social media, and has endless ideas and the skills to execute, post, and stay up to the minute on all things trending. If you're a reality show super fan, very creative and experienced at creating social materials, this is the job for you!


  • Stay on top of MGM's content - you watch the shows. You are a superfan!
  • With having as many as 40 reality series in production and on air, the ideal candidate must be able to create and execute social media strategies across all our content and platforms
  • Identify relevant and interesting stories to highlight and boost viewership
  • Come up with ideas for our cast to post, create content, from memes, to gifs, to Tik-Tok's, you'd create it all
  • While working with an agency may be an option from time to time, the core job here is on you to create & post
  • Monitor social media metrics daily, analyze successes, target areas of improvement and subsequent growth strategies
  • Research target markets/trends and adapt content accordingly
  • Ability to concept content series, and beyond, for TV
  • Align organic content with paid media for a cohesive brand feel
  • Direct and execute social campaigns for TV/series across all our platforms
  • Manage and maintain day-to-day relationships with social media agencies and partners, in addition to production and marketing teams across all networks and streaming platforms
  • Collaborate closely with publicity, and actively identify ways for talent to get involved in marketing plans
  • Work closely with a variety of internal teams in accomplishing goals and priorities on time and successfully

Requirements & qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Must have 3+ years relevant experience in social media at a TV network, streaming platform, or TV/Streamer entertainment focused digital agency
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, scheduling software and extracting metrics
  • Must have TV/series digital marketing experience
  • Social media expert: You get it. You know it. You love it. You stay up to date on all the new tools, analytics, and capabilities across
  • Passion for social and content marketing
  • Skilled and styled writer with excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and an eye for details and creative.
  • Ability to create engaging marketing decks
  • Experience creating assets
  • Experience and deep connections with publicity, paid media and social agencies
  • Experience with Photoshop (basic-level at minimum)
  • Flexible, responsive, proactive with a can-do attitude!
