Director, Partnership Management

The NAM NEW PAYMENT FLOWS TEAM is accountable for growing our business in ACH, business, government and commercial payment flows. This team works closely with GP&S product managers, platform owners, and account teams in the region to accelerate the commercialization of products and services that will significantly grow our revenue and market share in the region. We are looking for an experienced B2B payments professional to manage existing partnerships and develop new partnerships.


Role Description:

The Director, Partnership Management and Business Development, will be responsible for managing and driving business initiatives across NAM through existing and new partnerships. Work closely with internal sales and product partners to commercialize and advance our B2B payments strategy via partnerships who can add value to Mastercard’s customers. Consult with assigned partners, US customer account managers and their respective bank customers, and internal product partners to assess and identify business needs to drive the overall partnership strategy/recommendations.


Role:

  • Serve as primary relationship contact for B2B partner relationships
  • Develop and execute on plan to establish new and differentiated partnerships that drive value for Mastercard and Mastercard’s customers
  • Facilitate discussions with partners and internal product groups to advance our new payment flow strategies across B2B including RTP, Send, and cross border payments
  • Consult with senior leaders at customers and internally to identify and promote complex and high value business opportunities
  • Develop customer marketing plans and work with sales teams to optimize partnership outcomes
  • Monitor all product arrangements and negotiate terms of agreements
  • Adhere to account management disciplines
  • Work closely with product owners and go to market team to execute the NPF partners strategy


All About You:

  • Are you self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team and/or cross functional environment?
  • Have you ever been a sales person, technical sales specialist or product manager for a complex payments product or service?
  • Do you have experience with corporate or business payments?
  • Do you have experience with B2B accounts payable and receivable environments?
  • Have you worked closely with commercial issuing banks and/or treasury management organizations?
  • Have you negotiated complex partnership contracts?
  • Do you have a passion for and knowledge/expertise of technology, payments, business payments; strong desire to always be learning?
