Director of Strategic Finance

Zola is looking for an exceptional leader to join the Finance team as head of Strategic Finance.

This is a critical role that helps drive financial and strategic decisions in a rapid growth environment. The role will report into the CFO and lead the company’s FP&A, strategic planning and corporate development efforts. This person will work closely with executives and key leaders across the organization to drive short-term and long-term business and capital allocation decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with proven track record of leading high impact FP&A teams and have prior experience in corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a high performing team
• Lead rigorous and accurate financial budgeting and forecasting processes including all three financial statements
• Drive long range and strategic planning discussions
• Partner with executive team on potential capital raises; lead M&A deal sourcing and execution
• Effective finance partner for business and department leads
• Enhance and monitor key metrics and performance indicators to drive business performance
• Partner with accounting and BI/data team to ensure visibility and integrity of business and financial data
• Collaborate with Controller and accounting team on month end close and financial reporting
• Analyze competitive and industry benchmarking and provide actionable insights

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years work experience in finance roles with at least 3 years in financial planning
• Experience in investment banking or corporate development a plus
• Experience in consumer business preferred
• Demonstrated success in building or leading a high performing team
• Significant expertise and passion for robust, auditable, and well-structured financial models
• Proficient in three-statement financial models
• Team player and great communicator
• Familiarity and comfort with GAAP principles
• Experience in public companies and with ERP systems a plus
