Director of Product Marketing

As Springboard’s Director of Product Marketing, you’ll own our product marketing strategy and execution to grow our business. By developing a deep understanding of our market, offerings, capabilities, and customers, you will own how we present Springboard to students seeking to break into the tech industry’s most in-demand careers. You will also use data from a variety of sources to gain insights that enable us to create a delightful user experience and increase demand for our online courses. Through this mission-driven work to reinvent the future of learning, you will make a major impact by dramatically increasing the number of Springboard students who transform their lives and careers.


Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a world-class product marketing organization
  • Own the user experience on our pre-enrollment web and mobile properties, including the UI/UX
  • Oversee our experimentation roadmap to drive conversion rate optimization
  • Manage a small team of product marketers
  • Partner with Product, vertical GM’s, Course Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to successfully scale current and new educational offerings
  • Ensure a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and target markets; ensure it’s powerfully reflected in product marketing strategies and messaging 
  • Bring a strong user orientation, developing insights to deeply understand who uses our products and how; serve as the voice of the customer internally
  • Develop user personas, value propositions, product positioning statements, messaging strategy, and user benefits
  • Drive the marketing toolbox to feature compelling narratives that engage our customers at all stages of the life cycle and through different types of content (e.g. website, email, video testimonials, outcome reports)
  • Build a product marketing playbook that can scale across industry verticals 
  • Oversee product marketing OKRs, focusing on metrics that matter 
  • Manage the product marketing budget


You

  • Have 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably with highly considered consumer purchases
  • Have experience owning the product marketing function and overseeing web properties and experiences
  • Are a data-driven marketing leader with deep product and/or B2C marketing expertise
  • Have a strong user orientation and UI/UX sensibility
  • Are knowledgeable about user acquisition methods, conversion, workflows, and mindsets.
  • Are a player-coach, experienced in mentoring and training a teamBring a team-first mentality with proven experience collaborating with and influencing key stakeholders
  • Are a fearless experimenter who has a proven track record of systematically making smart bets that enable us to learn and fuel growth
  • Are a builder, with a sense of curiosity, and a love for rolling up your sleeves and getting to work
