Bumble is looking for a Director of Marketing, North America who will help innovate, nurture, and build our marketing teams. Possess a creative mindset for ground-breaking campaigns and brand experiences. A strategic thinker, you combine a deep understanding of best practices, operational excellence, and collaboration. You are driven by the thought of making an impact, and your past campaigns reflect that. You will help define and execute marketing strategies across multiple teams for multiple verticals, inclusive of branding, paid media, creative, and other cross-department collaboration. You are data driven, inspiring and nurturing to your team, collaborative and possess strong project management skills. You will build relationships with agencies and vendors to ensure marketing objectives are met.


You understand our users and what they want to see, and understand how to tie KPI’s into Bumble’s mission, values, and vision. You are passionate about innovation, branding, data-driven decision-making and the opportunity to collaborate with global teams.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead brand marketing teams in the United States and Canada and define our strategy to build our brand and unlock growth in two of our biggest markets
  • Be accountable for growth and business objectives across our primary audience geos and segments within the region
  • Define a data-informed marketing strategy, including the end-state vision of how we use consumer data and insights to drive segmentation, targeting, messaging and campaigns, and how those can be adapted across segments 
  • Drive our NATAM integrated marketing efforts from brief definition through execution by partnering with other service organizations including comms, brand, growth, and others
  • Develop quantified learnings and strategic playbooks for solving various marketing challenges that can be leveraged 
  • Oversee our roster of agency partners to ensure effectiveness in their efforts against our business objectives 
  • Responsible for developing an infrastructure and process to coordinate marketing plans that effectively threads impact and efficiency 
  • Work cross functionally with other departments including Brand/Creative/Community/Product for deliverables


EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Demonstrated success leading high-performance marketing teams in a hyper-growth environment, while creating a plan for scale across the marketing organization
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a high performing brand marketing organisation 
  • A strong desire to make an impact on issues at the core of Bumble’s mission 
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments - with experience in a high growth, digitally native company 
  • A customer focus with the curiosity and drive to understand and empathize with the customer
  • Analytical mindset and able to articulate the quantitative and qualitative impact of our efforts 
  • A clear communicator who knows how to address an extremely diverse audience 
  • A collaborative style and builds relationships with key cross-functional partners and leads through influence 
  • A consistent track record of exceeding overall acquisition, engagement and retention goals, with the ability to communicate strategies, successes, and learnings
  • Expertise in data-driven strategy development, with the ability to adapt priorities quickly in response to in-market changes
  • Demonstrated experience evolving and expanding positioning and strengthening market standing for B2C brands internationally
  • Experience in partnering with global teams and working with emerging marketing teams through launch, growth, and sustenance phases
  • Understanding of social networking, dating, or other digital first platforms
