Director of IT

New York, NY

We are looking for an ambitious Director of IT to manage the planning, organization, and execution of all IT functions at FEVO to optimize the company’s operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a very strong technical background with deep knowledge of IT ranging from infrastructure and help desk support to security and permissions. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve all technical issues, as well as manage the support and maintenance of existing applications. A strong candidate will be able to assess IT operational needs and develop new technical solutions. This is a hybrid role so you must be able to come into the NYC office as needed. 


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build and lead overall IT operations including IT infrastructure, applications, and help desk
  • Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the IT department
  • Develop procedures and best practices to support the functional infrastructure and enforce adherence
  • Manage and track the IT departmental expense budget
  • Oversee the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies
  • Ensure that the IT goals and objectives are completed to a consistently high standard, within budget, and on time
  • Direct the evaluation, development, and activities of Information Technology staff
  • Identify potential areas for improvement within the IT organization, ensuring alignment with key partners and leveraging resources


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 10+ years IT experience (including IT infrastructure, applications and help desk)
  • BA/BS in computer science/related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Well-versed in using support platforms, such as Office 365, Salesforce for CRM, and NetSuite for ERP
  • Management of IT teams and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up
  • Background in establishing policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and a solution-based mindset
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, make decisions about what data and approach is best for the task at hand
  • Effective organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with multiple projects
  • Proven ability to instill trust and confidence and take initiative
