We’re looking for a Director, Employee Communications to help us build an internal communications function that empowers, inspires, and activates our global team. Reporting directly to the Vice President, People, this leadership role directly impacts Webflow’s growing business and scaling culture with significant and far reaching impact. Responsible for employee-related communications, inclusive of Internal Communications, Executive Communications, Employee Branding, as well as partnership with internal counterparts on External Communications, PR, and Investor Relations. The ideal candidate will draw on a history of crafting clear, engaging, and rich storytelling in a manner that represents the voice of Webflow, eloquently captures tone/tenor of senior leaders, including the CEO & Co-founder, and creatively designs systems, channels, and interventions to proactively manage communications and experiences as the company scales.   • Our cash compensation amount for this role ranges from $170,000 - $233,000 for most US locations and $188,000 - $259,000 for US locations with a higher cost of labor. All figures cited above are in $USD and pertain to workers located in the United States. Pay is based on several factors including market location, and may vary depending on job related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

As a Director, Employee Communications, you’ll … 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that engages, informs, and motivates employees.
  • Create and manage internal communication channels, including email newsletters, intranet, social media, and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all internal communications to promote clarity and alignment.
  • Develop and execute employment branding strategies that promote our company as a great place to work.
  • Build relationships with employees, customers, and industry partners to establish a strong employer brand.
  • Work closely with the People and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with overall brand messaging.
  • Build strong relationships with the CEO and Vice President, People to understand business priorities and communication needs.
  • Partner with the CEO and Vice President, People to communicate major company initiatives, business updates, and employee engagement initiatives. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Vice President, People on employee communications issues. 
  • Manage a team of communication professionals to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including People, Marketing, and Corporate Communications, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the effectiveness of employee communications

You’ll thrive as a Director, Employee Communications if you:

  • Have at least 10 years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies, capturing and representing the tone and voice of senior leaders and employees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on storytelling and message development. 
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, particularly with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with senior executives and developing trusted relationships.
  • Working proficiency of emerging communication technologies and trends.
